1. I'm trying to get gym access and I ask the clerk about it. I'm only staying two days, so I say:

I'm staying another two days, so I'm not able to get the monthly membership.

Or does it have to be:

I'm only staying two days, so I'm not able to get the monthly membership.

2. I can't find my way in a foreign country, so I point to the destination on the map and say to a train attendant:

I'm trying to get here. Or

I'm trying to get to Southern California.

Can this be said? Or is it completely wrong?

I always thought it should be:

I'm trying to go here. Instead of:

I'm trying to get here.

No, 'Get' is much more common in that situation.

How did you get here?
I want to get to Broadway.
I'm getting there by bus.
etc.
