Many households are onto their second or third generation of computer and, according to Environment Australia, are sending more technology trash to landfills than big business. In response to this problem, a regional office in Sydney is planning to establish the area's first local technology reprocessing plant.Up to $40 million of private investment funds ____for this enterprise A.is likely to be needed B.will be requiring C.was probably required D.would need
ANS:A
I don't know how to judge them, I choose C because i thought it is just an estimate to the cost, so B,D aren't correct,Is it right if i think like that?? Can anyone tell me the different between choices A & C? (My english is pretty bad, hope you guys can understand..)
Top answer
B and D will not fit grammatically into the space, so you can exclude them for that reason alone. The scheme hasn't started yet, so C (in the past tense) can't be right. Always capitalise I.
