This is an introductory statement: This investor is mentioned now for the first time. Which is correct?
I was told that either is fine. "An investor" means "any investor" or no specific one in mind. "The investor" means "the investor using this strategy"; I was told that in this situation, "the" is okay even if the investor wasn't mentioned.
Please, can you tell me if it's correct, what I was told? Thank you
