I'm studying English and have some questions about the name of American and British.

I think a person who possesses American nationanlity is an American. Is that correct?

On the other hand, in the United Kingdom, what is a person who possesses British nationanlity called? Is it a British?

A person from Britain is also called a Briton (formal).
The word Brit is an informal way of saying this.
