Although vs. Though
Sometimes I wonder whether to use "although" or "though," at a loss as to what the difference might be between them. Take this for example:
1. They laugh while walking down the steps as if drunk, although they are not.
2. They laugh while walking down the steps as if drunk, though they are not.
Are both of those right, one with "although" and one with "though"?

They are both correct. My understanding is that though is less formal; that’s all.
