although
Hi,
Is this use of "although" grammatical? Personally, I think it's fine. I can't think of a better conjunction to use at the beginning of the sentence. The reason for my uncertainty is that the link isn't very clear:
Person #1: "Here! Have another bite!"
Person #2: "No, thank you. I have to watch what I eat. I wouldn't want to become fat. That would be a bummer. Although, judging by your lack of restraint - I mean, you just ate an entire three-tier cake by yourself - that doesn't seem to be a problem for you. Look at you: you're all skin and bones!"
Anything else wrong with my dialogue?

although is fine there -- very idiomatic. The only other possibility that comes to mind is the variant though , but I wouldn't change anything. I don't see anything wrong with your dialogue.
