After and later

Question

I bought a wooden chopping board from IKEA and it instructs how to maintain. In this context, later is used where I thought "after" should be used.
"--- it (chopping board) should be treated with oil approved for contact with food, for instance mineral oil or vegetable oil. Oil once, wipe off any surplus oil and then repeat the treatment 24 hours later."
(1) what about using "" and then repeat the treatment after 24 hours""??

Is this also correct??

(2)I thought Later shouldn't be used with specific time words; "numbers + later" other than in the past tenses.
As in " I will see you 2 hours later! bye! " or " I go there 2 days later"

These 2 sentences are wrong, aren't they?

Then why this IKEA instruction uses "24 hours later"?

Please someone help me answering each questions.

Two different ways of saying the same thing. Both are OK.

AnonymousI will see you 2 hours later! ... I go there 2 days later

These are not wrong.

Julia: I'll see you at 6 o'clock, Paul.
Jane: And I'll see you two hours later. (later than 6; at 8 o'clock)

Mark: I go to the business meeting at headquarters next Tuesday.
Brian: You'll be there before me. I go there two days later. (later than Tuesday; Thursday)

Repeat the treatment 24 hours later (than you did the previous treatment).
