advanced standing credit

If you already took a course from another accredited university to study the same subject similar to the course that another university is offering, then the latter will sometimes give you credit for your past course. This could help you reduce the time to complete the new course offered at the other university. For example, you are admitted to an MBA program at XYZ University.
