Hi.I have the habit of using the sentence, First and foremost, I beg to return my acknowledgement for your response  when I want to thank my professor for his response.I don't know from where I learned this sentence. But after using it thousands of time, I feel that it doesn't seem natural or common.Disabuse me if I am wrongThanks in advance

This wording is OK in a culture where what seems to me like elaborate politeness is the norm.
I assume that you often see this kind of wording. If you don't, then say what most people seem to say.

Where I live, we would just say eg Thank you for your response. Where you live, this would probably sound too brusque.

If you said it to me, I would think you were attempting to pose as my great, great grandfather.

In the U.S. this style of expression died out many, many years ago.

That is over the top. In the UK, you'd get laughed at for writing something like that.
