Absolute participial construction
Hi,
I would like to ask a question about "absolute participial construction."
For example,
1. After school was over, the students went home.
2. As it is Sunday, the store is closed.
Using "absolute participial construction", can you say as follows?
1. School over, the students went home.
2. It Sunday, the store is close.
I read "being" can be deleted in "absolute participial construction". But the above sentences will be OK?
Thank you very much in advance.
Regards,
