Hi,What do you think the prototype of to eat is ?Perhaps [to partake of] is it.I find it in King James English.There is a finding in this way that [to eat] regards human as a receiver of food.Because [to partake of bread] means the bread has man to take it as a part of man.And the [take] in [to partake] is different from the [take] in [to take part in], because in that it means to accept, and in this it means to perform.Could any native speaker right me?Thank you for your assistance.

I have no idea what you are talking about.  What do you mean by 'prototype'?  What relationship do you perceive between 'partake' and 'eat'?

Hi Mister Micawber,

In classic English not used [eat] but [bite of / drink of / feed of] instead.

And [partake of] used for enjoying or to have the qualities -----all for the use of experience.

{A baker's wife may bite of bun, a brewer's wife may drink of a tun, a fish monger's wife may feed of a conger.}

[take] -----receive / accept / take upon;

This way of [take] has me to think of that------man in eating is as a receiver of food.

Another, [take part in a debate]----so [take] = do / perform part which is in a debate.

[take risks in this job]---[take] = do perform risks which is in this job;

1. fallout ---

it is a dynamic film that shows a great effect on someone or something

outfall-----

it is a still film that shows a point of a fall in the end;

2. lookout---

it is a dynamic film---that shows a looking out on / for something or someone;

outlook--

it is a still film---that shows the end of a looking out;
