About enumerations
HI,
Can you help me by telling me if these sentences are correct? I have my opinion, but need to know more specifics. I haven't any formal training in Grammar.
1-I'll be using the present, past, and the future tenses. (Do we need to repeat "the" or not?)
I say because of the words "future" and "tenses", it would be wise to repeat the "the" because otherwise, it's a "heavy" ending. Do we need the "the" in front of the word "past"?

2-The animals are the cat, dog, and the mouse. (Again, do we need an extra "the" in front of "mouse"?)

3-He failed to keep his penny,jug of water,lump of butter, and his cat. (Do we need to repeat the "his" or not?)

Please tell me what forms are the best for each number.
