Hi

There's the sentence: He's the most undervalued teacher in a world abounding with "masters." Shouldn't it be "in the world" instead of "a world"

Trying to work out how to explain it....still can't, sorry.

However, it's quite a common construction: in a world of X. He is the cleverest man in a world of fools. They are eco-warriers in a world of selfishness. This car is a treasure in a world of mediocrity.

'the' should be used in sentence 2. (My earlier post was without in a world abounding with "masters.")

'a' should be used in sentence 1.
