A woman's reasoning

0One day, when a seamstress was sewing while sitting close to a river, her 02br

00When she cried out, the Lord appeared and asked, "My dear child, why are02br

00The seamstress replied that her thimble had fallen into the water and that 02br
00she needed it to help her husband in making a living for their family.02br
00The Lord dipped His hand into the water and pulled up a golden thimble set02br
00with pearls.02br
00"Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked The seamstress replied, "No." 02br
00The Lord again dipped into the river. He held out a silver thimble ringed02br
00with sapphires.02br
00"Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked.02br
00Again, the seamstress replied, "No." 02br
00The Lord reached down again and came up with a leather thimble. "Is this02br
00your thimble ?" the Lord asked.02br
00The seamstress replied, "Yes."02br
00The Lord was pleased with the woman's honesty and gave her all three 02br
00thimbles to keep, and the seamstress went home happy.02br
00Some years later, the seamstress was walking with her husband along the02br
00riverbank, and her husband fell into the river and disappeared under the 02br
00water.02br
00When she cried out, the Lord again appeared and asked her, "Why are you02br
00crying?"02br
00"Oh Lord, my husband has fallen into the river!"02br
00The Lord went down into the water and came up with George Clooney. 02br
00"Is this your husband?" the Lord asked.02br
00"Yes," cried the seamstress.02br
00The Lord was furious. "You lied! That is an untruth!"02br
00The seamstress replied, "Oh, forgive me, my Lord. It is a misunderstanding. 02br
00You see, if I had said 'no' to George Clooney, you02br
00would have come up with Brad Pitt. Then if I said 'no' to him, you would02br
00have come up with my husband. Had I then said 'yes,' you would have given 02br
00me all three. Lord, I'm not in the best of health and would not be able to02br
00take care of all three husbands, so THAT'S why I said 'yes' to George02br
00Clooney.02br
00And so the Lord let her keep him. 02br

00The moral of this story is: Whenever a woman lies, it's for a good and02br
