Thunder can be listened from a maximum distance of about ten miles except under unusual atmospheric conditions.
Here " listened " should be changed into " heared " .
I wonder if " a maximum distance of " is right here.
Can I use " a maximumal distance of " ?

Welcome to English Forums! "to hear" is an irregular verb. The past is "heard", not "heared".

"to hear" is an irregular verb. The past is "heard", not "heared".
But you are right. It should be changed to "Thunder can be heard from a maximum distance of ..."
"maximum" is the correct word. "maximal" is possible but less used.
And there is no such word as "maximumal"! Sorry!
