A Students in the States like basketball better than soccer.
B Students in the States like basketball more than soccer.
C Basketball is liked better than soccer by students in the States.
D Basketball is liked more than soccer by students in the States.
Q1 I think that both A and B are grammatically correct, and they are often used in English. Is this right?
Q2 I think that C and D are hardly ever used in English, though they are passive voice sentences of A and B, respectively. What is your take?
