A few corrections

Can I say,(1) They were late because of the traffic jam.(2) They are many hawkers / hawker stalls on the beach,(3) She threw the dry leaves in a bin.(4) He accidentally broke a mirror.(5) They went on / for a picnic. (6) The house is on fire. (7) The maid pours a cup of tea for the visitors. (8) They are constructing a road.(9) A colony of ants came from / came out of  the crate.      Peter saw a colony of ants coming out of / from the crate.(10) Their costume is / are well decorated .(11) The turtle is crawling back into / to the sea.

(8) They are constructing a road. -- OK

(9) A colony of ants ~~came from /~~ came out of the crate.

Peter saw a colony of ants coming out of ~~/ from~~ the crate.

"came from" is possible, but in your sentences "came out of" seems more likely.

(10) Their costume is / are well decorated. -- Is "costume" singular or plural? So...?

(11) The turtle is crawling back into / to the sea. -- OK. "into" means it is actually entering the water. "to" means in the direction of the sea -- for example, it could be crawling across the sand. However, we assume that its eventual aim is to enter the water, so there's not a great deal of difference here.
