No difference, Raoul. There is some difference of opinion as to which should serve as the plural; some would say that an apostrophe should be used ONLY for possessives. Using your example as a possessive would happen very rarely, I think: X '1950's summer was a hot one' would much better be cast as 'the summer of 1950 was a hot one'.
