England schools sending students home due to health risks

According to the National Health Services England, after a resurgence of COVID-19 cases in the country, many England schools have decided to cancel classes and send students home. A rough estimate of a million students was affected since last week. Students were advised to stay at home in the meantime and observe self-isolation and self-monitoring. According to education officials, more than 900 England schools have already sent students home which translated into a 13 percent difference in attendance turnout since last week.
School officials blame the lack of COVID-19 testing for staff and parents. Also, the negligence to honestly report any instances of experiencing COVID-like symptoms has also been an immediate concern that should be addressed.
Here is a list of the schools that sent students back home within this week:
Cornwall. School officials at Cornwall admit that around 500 students in their school have been in quarantine and self-isolation due to possible infection of COVID-19. The number represents 1.2 percent of the total student count at Cornwall.
Devon.  Around 40 students in the city of Exeter have been suspected of COVID-19 and placed on self-isolation. Though the incident seems to be isolated, teachers, parents, and students are still urged to be more careful.
Plymouth. A resurgence of COVID-19 cases has been recorded in Plymouth, with a number of cases related to school activities and attendance. At least nine schools in Plymouth have reported possible COVID-19 cases within their scope of responsibility.
St. Helens. Despite no reported cases at schools in the area, school officials take the precautionary measure of closing schools temporarily when the outbreak of cases occurred.
