The idea behind this is to allow teachers and students easy access to learning materials and live tutorial services in one place.<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/google-classroom-app-popularity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Classroom<\/a> has become an important feature for students and teachers during this lockdown period. Classroom usage has also soared during the lockdown that has forced schools to consider online learning as a solution for continuation of learning.<\/p>\n<h2>Integration of Google Classroom and Meet<\/h2>\n<p>Google said it will be integrating the Google Classroom and Google Meet into a new platform Meet-Classroom. They have also indicated the platform will be free including the premium features during the entire lockdown period.<br \/>\nGoogle also announced that it was extending the free premium features to other <a href=\"https:\/\/gsuite.google.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">products such as G Suite<\/a> until September.<br \/>\nThe Google Meet platform allows up to 250 users to video conference. The video conference calls can also be Livestream by 100,000 users and it also allows saving the teleconferences in Google drive. This makes it one of the most powerful tools for video conferencing. Its usage has also soared due to coronavirus which has forced people to work from home through video conferencing services.<\/p>\n<h2>The rise of Google Products during the lockdown<\/h2>\n<p>The integration of the Meet and Classroom platforms is allowing students and teachers to hold their classes online, manage students\u2019 assignments and have interactive classes. Google released the usage of this platform which showed that it had already amassed more than 100 million students and teachers.<br \/>\nData also showed that more than 120 million teachers and students were using G Suite products for their school work. Google premium products also had a surge in usage with G Suite Premium paying customers rising to 6 million this year.<br \/>\nGoogle Meet usage statistics has also seen a surge with more than 2 million people using the platform per day. The platform is now recording 2 billion minutes of video calls per day. The rise of Google products has been due to working at home policy implemented globally in order to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
