Universities from the U.K. were firm with their quarantine warning on students traveling to China for the Chinese New Year.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Quarantine warning issued<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Due to the ongoing virus outbreak that started in China<\/a>, British universities came out very cautious when it comes to the health safety of their students, especially those who are planning to go home to China to celebrate the Chinese new year.<\/span>
\nSeveral universities in the U.K. issued quarantine warnings to students who plan to travel to China. Universities in the U.K. are known for catering international students, mostly from China and India.<\/span>
\nThe University of Chester was among the vocal universities that issued a quarantine warning. It permits Chinese students to travel back to China as they please, but, warns them of a delay in readmission to fulfill the required quarantine period.<\/span>
\nThe Foreign Office has already advised a warning not to travel in countries affected<\/a> by the virus outbreak. With several Universities in the U.K. having ties with campuses in China, the Universities U.K. are conducting strict monitoring on the implementation of quarantine protocols.<\/span><\/p>\n

Coronavirus outbreak<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Coronavirus outbreak originated in Wuhan, China. The symptoms and transmission of the virus are found to be similar to pneumonia cases, which makes it highly contaminable.\u00a0<\/span>
\nIn a statement from the vice-chancellor of Universities U.K.:<\/span><\/p>\n

We prioritize the safety and welfare of our students. The organization is vigilant in the monitoring of the coronavirus situation.<\/span><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Hospitals in the Wuhan are dealing with quite a handful right now, with over 20 million people in their area who are at risk of contamination. The government of China has already considered a lockdown in Wuhan to control the spread of the deadly coronavirus.<\/span>
\nA lot of videos and news circulating on the internet regarding the situation in Wuhan, with dead bodies left by aisles of the hospital and infected people dropping on the streets, it creates an imagery of something worthy of great concern.<\/span>
\nChina also has strict policies regarding the use of social media platforms, which makes it a bit difficult to know what is really happening in Wuhan. Everyone depends on the statements released by the government and nothing more.<\/span>
