The statement that nearly a third of billionaires globally didn’t graduate from a university has sparked various reactions towards the necessity of a degree to be successful.<\/strong>
\nAccording to the release, several billionaires and celebrities such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Mark Zuckerberg were all college<\/a> drop-outs and have done remarkable things.
\nThe statement contradicts advice given by parents, teachers, coaches that one will not be successful or amount to anything without good grades and a university degree.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Entrepreneurs opinions<\/h2>\n

Several entrepreneurial leaders and advisors all agreed that a university degree does not guarantee the success of its holder.
\nLeon Lategan, the founder of Scooler, explained that the dire state of education, the prohibitive cost of tuition and the current high unemployment rates, youth have to look for alternatives.
\nLategan, a successful entrepreneur and university drop-out himself said resilience is what everyone should strive to have and not a degree<\/strong>. He advises youths to dig in deep and awaken their various talents, skills, and creativity in them.
\nGary Vaynerchuk, founder and CEO of VaynerX<\/a>, stressed the fact that it is rare to need a university degree these days. He advised the youth to hone their skills, pick what makes them happy, learned, concentrate, and develop in that aspect.
\nGary noted that parental pressure is a factor in career choice, but it shouldn\u2019t make one acquire enormous college debt.
\nGrant Cardone, the founder of Cardone<\/a> Capital, stated he doesn\u2019t believe in the idea of putting an 18-year-olds into massive debt to obtain a university degree.
\nMatt Schuldt, a co-founder of personal branding agency TPA Media Group, explained that at 19, he made the decision not to go to college, but dive into business. Schuldt stated the decision changed his life as he gained practical experience, marketing skills, the right mindset, a network, and a mentor, by choosing to skip college.<\/strong>
\nGail Corder Fischer, executive vice chairman of Fischer & Company, a leading real estate firm that provides consulting, brokerage, and technology solutions, said not having a degree will push you to work hard, be more resourceful and eventually successful.
\nBrandon Dawson, co-founder and CEO of Cardone Ventures, reiterated the opinion that university degree doesn\u2019t guarantee success. Brandon claimed all you need is to learn to be self-sufficient, connect well with others, and listen to professionals<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Adding entrepreneurialism to the curriculum<\/h2>\n

It has been established that university or college isn\u2019t meant for everyone. This has necessitated the need for the concept of entrepreneurialism to added to the curriculum in junior and high school to foster and cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset in the youth so that they can actually give consideration to starting their own businesses as a career option.
