Probably.<br \/>\nAnd quoted a comment from the article that focused on the intellectual supremacy of men, which state Geniuses are overwhelmingly male because they combine higher outlier IQ with moderately low agreeableness and conscientiousness.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cgeniuses are overwhelmingly male because they combine outlier high IQ with moderately low Agreeableness and moderately low Conscientiousness.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/cyfBX1ECSc\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/t.co\/cyfBX1ECSc<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Professor Eric Rasmusen (@erasmuse) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/erasmuse\/status\/1192591814567563266?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">November 7, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\nConsequently, the account shared another <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/erasmuse\/status\/1192919365198503943\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tweet<\/a> by him that belittles women.<br \/>\nNotably, Rasmusen for many years has used his social media accounts to promote his racist, sexist, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/lgbt-university-students-supported-by-colleagues\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">homophobic<\/a> views. Recently he tweeted an article which focused on the economic benefits of slavery.<br \/>\nWhile, in 2003, he wrote a blog post where he claimed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/teacher-fired-for-being-gay\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gay men<\/a> are more likely to molest students and are not suited for moral exemplar professions such as teaching and preaching.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Indiana University response to Rasmusen<\/strong><strong>\u00a0tweets<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>School authorities condemned Rasmusen&#8217;s comments immediately the tweets went viral.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We&#39;re aware of the situation involving an IU faculty member. The beliefs expressed in those tweets do not reflect the values of Indiana University. IU will remain a place of tolerance and respect for all. See this statement from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/IUBProvost?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@IUBProvost<\/a> Lauren Robel. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/aLWd5FlOEL\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/aLWd5FlOEL<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; IU Bloomington (@IUBloomington) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/IUBloomington\/status\/1197258877441581064?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">November 20, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\n<strong>Lauren Robel, the university&#8217;s executive vice president and provost, condemned his social media posts in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/provost.indiana.edu\/statements\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>.<\/strong> She further stated that Rasmusen expressed a shallow and stunningly misguided opinion. These notions that were more consistent with people who lived in the 18th century rather than the 21st century.<br \/>\n<strong>Robel explained, that Indiana University cannot dismiss Rasmusen because the First Amendment of the United States Constitution prohibits them from doing so.<\/strong><br \/>\nAdding although, the University will put in place measures to protect students from been influenced by someone with Professor Rasmusen\u2019s mentality.<br \/>\nThese measures include; allowing students to opt-out of his classes, providing alternative classes by other faculty members. Also, requiring double-blind grading on all of Rasmusen\u2019s students\u2019 assignments, and having other staff check his grading in cases where double-blind grading is not possible.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>People reactions towards Rasmusen&#8217;s post<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Although, many negative reactions followed Rasmusen\u2019s comment on the blog post. Many people tweeting against his foul statement. Rasmusen\u2019s claimed he has been getting positive and encouraging emails regarding his post.<br \/>\nAdding that the number of his Twitter followers has proportionally increased from less than 400 to 833 from November 18th to 21st.<br \/>\nHe also published letters on his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rasmusen.org\/special\/2019kerfuffle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a> allegedly from supporters, encouraging him not to let the thought police shut him down.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eric Rasmusen, a professor at Indiana University Bloomington, came under scrutiny for using his social media accounts to degrade women, people of color and gay men.
