This donation is meant to revamp the nation\u2019s education sector by boosting the quality provided.<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ghana\u2019s education will be boosted, and the primary beneficiaries will be the over two million children found in the low performing basic education schools.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Ghana\u2019s education to be boosted<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the World Bank Country Director for Ghana, Pierre Laporte, the funding will be pivotal in enhancing the country\u2019s education system.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laporte noted:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project focuses on underserved areas and on improving the quality of education for increased human capital and supports the World Bank\u2019s twin goals of ending poverty and promoting shared prosperity.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><b>The funding to be received will plan an instrumental role in\u00a0 ensuring that Ghana\u2019s education attains the set strategies. Some of the World Bank\u2019s objectives entail propelling equitability, quality, and inclusivity at all education levels.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><b>Ghana\u2019s education enhanced through GALOP<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>The <\/b><a href=\"http:\/\/moe.gov.gh\/edge\/content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/GALOP-ESCP.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project (GALOP)<\/b><\/a><b> has played a pivotal role in supporting learning and teaching through the provision of learning materials and modern in-service teacher training.<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The donation to be attained will help strengthen school-level resources and support. Additionally, community engagement will be necessitated for prosperity purposes.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has also been stipulated that Ghana\u2019s human capital will be promoted through the world bank fund. Improvements in learning and teaching accountability and assessments will be ideal in this objective.<\/span><br \/>\n<b>Additionally, the world bank project is founded on Ghana\u2019s Systematic Country Diagnostic that views education as the key to propelling labor productivity.\u00a0<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the other hand, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">according to data released by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/african-countries-innovative-methods\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the African Union<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, African countries have literacy levels of 70%. These statistics, therefore, show that African countries are lagging behind the global literacy rates average at 90%.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The African Union is, however, determined to change this narrative.
