Instead of making it into the top 100, universities in India have fallen down in their rankings. University officials have complained about the ranking and marking scheme, but there\u2019s little truth to it. <\/span><br \/>\n<strong>As directed by the Human Resource Development (HRD) ministry, universities need to improve and adapt to international standards.<\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As per the QS ranking officials, India has to work on global indicators that are considered relevant in the ranking. There is no doubt that Indian graduates like engineers are one of the finest across the world and leading MNCs across the globe. But these ranking standards are the way India can attract international students and faculties to the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Indian universities need data for QS ranking and THE ranking<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once Indian universities start considering these relevant markers, they will rise up in the rankings. According to the Regional Director of the QS Intelligence Unit, India possesses the power to be the leader in higher education, however, it is disappointing to see such a small number of universities register for these rankings. <\/span><br \/>\n<strong>Even if they do, the data sent by them is inadequate.<\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3 Indian universities made into the top 200, namely IIT-Delhi, IIT-Bombay and IISc, Bangalore, in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/qs-graduate-employability-rankings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">QS ranking<\/a>. As far as THE ranking is considered, India\u2019s topmost university was in 301-350 bracket.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>IISc, Bangalore is one of the finest research institutes in the world.<\/strong> Over the years, the fact that it has produced two ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) chiefs speaks volumes of <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/industry\/services\/education\/indian-varsities-need-to-blow-their-trumpets-to-improve-global-rankingqs-ranking-officials\/articleshow\/71464028.cms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">its quality<\/a>. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The HRD ministry is looking into the universities persuading them to be more involved and connected globally.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The QS ranking (Quacquarelli Symonds) and THE ranking (Times Higher Education) ranking are two of the best ranking institutions both based out of London, which judge the universities all across the globe on international standards.
