Even though there has been a <a href=\"https:\/\/luminate.prospects.ac.uk\/what-do-creative-arts-graduates-do\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">significant deterioration in graduate numbers <\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>in recent years, art institutions are still looking for full-time employees.<\/strong> It is a fact though that a degree in the arts is not enough to secure a living.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be proactive to enter the art industry<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Almost every art degree is aiming to leave their students with enough knowledge and a robust portfolio so they can further their careers.<\/strong> And college experience indeed lets you experiment creatively and develop a style, but experts say that it is not the only way.<strong> Saatchi &amp; Saatchi\u2019s chairwoman &#8211; Kate Stanners suggest that people with interest in the <\/strong><\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/arts-education-england-underfunded\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">arts<\/a> <\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>need to be proactive.<\/strong> She adds that people with artistic vision should not wait for favorable circumstances and must start building a portfolio now.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Other creatives assent with one another. When employing someone in a creative position, all that matters are former clients and portfolios.<\/strong> It\u2019s all about how good your work is whether you have a degree or not. Also, it is essential to initiate and establish an online presence. Many social platforms allow people to get noticed.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The standard advice is not to be afraid and apply to different positions.<\/strong> Having a strong curriculum and expanding your contact list can put you in a significant advantage when applying to jobs in the art industry.
