United States (US) President Donald Trump is one step away from banning a Venezuelan cryptocurrency with an executive order, and this might have a disastrous effect on blockchain education platforms and courses in the country.<\/b>
\nWhile technically blockchain does not need cryptocurrency to function, many of the newly created platforms for education and certification, like Blockcert, use their own cryptocurrency tokens to facilitate functions in the network.<\/span><\/p>\n

Blockchain education<\/span><\/h2>\n

Blockchain education has gained increasing popularity over the past several years, and this has been largely driven by the popularity of different cryptocurrencies.<\/b>
\nMany US universities have started offering <\/span>courses in blockchain education<\/span><\/a>, and cryptocurrency basics, as the demand for professionals in these areas is also rising.<\/span>
\nNot only that, but blockchain education has an infinite potential to develop, as the technology is constantly being improved by some of the <\/b>biggest names in information technology<\/b><\/a>, such as IBM.<\/b><\/p>\n

Donald Trump\u2019s executive ban<\/span><\/h2>\n

Unfortunately, the progress and development of blockchain education might be hampered by a proposed executive order, which is about to come into force this Monday.<\/span>
\nSenate Bill 1025, which can become a fact as soon as next week, will approve of an executive order given by Mr. Trump last year. <\/b>In this executive order, the US President strictly forbids that any US citizen, or foreigner living on the territory, use the <\/span>Petro cryptocurrency<\/span><\/a>.<\/span>
\nAccording to the President, the creation of this cryptocurrency was the way for Venezuelans to get around US sanctions.<\/span>
\nNot only that but on several occasions, Mr. Trump has openly discredited the validity of cryptocurrencies in general:<\/b><\/p>\n
