Scientists began to turn their heads towards Einstein\u2019s general theory of relativity and speculated that his theory would also be deemed wrong as Newton did.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/science.sciencemag.org\/content\/early\/2019\/07\/24\/science.aav8137\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">study<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was co-led by the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Professor Andrea Ghez using Einstein\u2019s law of general relativity\u2014not Newton\u2019s.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Newton was considered as the one who theorized the famous law of gravity when an apple bonked his head under the tree. That same force which unintentionally \u201cpull\u201d the apple down towards the ground was what gave birth to his idea of \u201cgravity.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Einstein\u2019s theory of how gravity works<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ghez and her team conducted a comprehensive test of general relativity using Einstein\u2019s theory and have proven that it is the best description. The research took place on a star called <strong>\u201cS0-2\u201d<\/strong> to test out direct measurements on the massive black hole, Sagittarius A, which dubbed as Sgr A.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The black hole lies at the center of the Milky Way galaxy which has a distance away from the Earth of <strong>twenty-six thousand (26,000) light-years.<\/strong> The research team put Newton\u2019s gravitation law but didn\u2019t hold well as it was used in black hole experiment study.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n[youtube https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Xdo0V9HDeRM]<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Einstein\u2019s and Newton\u2019s contributions to modern physics are stellar. However, <strong>Einstein\u2019s prediction came true as he theorized that an object creates a curve in the fabric of space and time.<\/strong> It has the appearance of well when it sits in place, in which he claimed that even beams of light and planets apply to this theory.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The mass of the black hole was calculated having about <strong>four (4) million times more than the sun.<\/strong> The S0-2 star takes a total of sixteen (16) years of orbit around Sgr A.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Using Einstein\u2019s theory, researchers studied the light particles which traveled from S0-2 to the Earth. If everything goes as he predicted that light couldn\u2019t resist the strong gravitational pull of Sgr A, scientists recognized that the case was \u201cextreme\u201d and acknowledged that Einstein\u2019s theory of relativity was \u201cshowing vulnerability\u201d as Ghez explained:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It cannot fully explain gravity inside a black hole, and at some point we will need to move beyond Einstein\u2019s theory to a more comprehensive theory of gravity that explains what a black hole is.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Set to be published on August 16, the study has been recognized as one of the recent in-depth research about the black hole to this date.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The new study proclaims that Newton\u2019s law of gravity isn\u2019t right during the black hole research.
