This was a necessary investment, as in 2016, <\/span><b>voters approved a capital override of the education budget dedicated to electronic devices.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/arizonawet.arizona.edu\/about_apw\/advisory-council\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Barbara Reinert<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, an academic coach for the Scottsdale Unified School District (SUDC), explained that students nowadays need access to computers to perform the tasks set by their teachers. According to her, <\/span><b>students have to go through vast amounts of data, and they need the proper equipment to do that.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> This equipment includes up to date computers, as most of the information comes from online publications.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Scottsdale bets on technology<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">While many decision-makers in the educational field believe that student to teacher <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/low-student-teacher-ratio-india\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ratio<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is more important, <\/span><b>SUDC has prioritized to reach a one-to-one ratio between students to computer devices.<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to the district\u2019s chief system officer, Debi Spaulding, achieving this ratio is one of the main priorities when it comes to education.
