{"id":19066,"date":"2019-08-04T14:17:03","date_gmt":"2019-08-04T14:17:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/?p=19066"},"modified":"2019-08-04T14:17:03","modified_gmt":"2019-08-04T14:17:03","slug":"art-students-course-without-tutors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.englishforward.com\/news\/art-students-course-without-tutors\/","title":{"rendered":"Art students dissatisfied with paying more than 20,000 pounds for course without tutors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Students from the Glasgow School of Art, currently located at one of the typical architectural projects of <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlesrenniemac.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Charles Rennie Mackintosh<\/b><\/a><b>, have expressed their dissatisfaction with the quality of education they are getting.\u00a0<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The chief complaint of students is that some of them have invested up to twenty thousand pounds in their courses; however, <\/span><b>there are not enough tutors and classes take place in numerous locations around the city, some of them without heating.<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Considering the severe financial investment these students made, it is unacceptable for them to study in such conditions. <\/span><b>The leading cause for this situation were two recent fires that happened in the central building of the school,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> which forced the administration to disperse classes to alternative locations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Art programs in the United Kingdom<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><b>The Glasgow School of Art is considered one of the top ten art schools around the world; however<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, the recent fires have made it hard for the administration to figure out how to continue providing quality education.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Unfortunately, creative programs in the United Kingdom are sometimes left behind when it comes to funding. One of the recent examples of underfunding are music classes in Wales, as parents were <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/wales-budget-cuts-parents-pay-for-music\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">forced<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to buy materials and instruments for their children.<\/span><br \/>\n<b>Hopefully, the university will find a way to resolve the problems, as students continue to invest in their education with the institution.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> The university attracts many international students, who relocate with one purpose &#8211; to get quality education overseas.
