{"id":19063,"date":"2019-08-04T12:47:46","date_gmt":"2019-08-04T12:47:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/?p=19063"},"modified":"2019-08-04T12:47:46","modified_gmt":"2019-08-04T12:47:46","slug":"young-adults-macon-student-loan-debt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.englishforward.com\/news\/young-adults-macon-student-loan-debt\/","title":{"rendered":"Young adults in Macon, Georgia, hardly manage student loan debt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>According to recent <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.experian.com\/blogs\/ask-experian\/state-of-student-loan-debt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>research<\/b><\/a><b> published by Experian, Macon county in Georgia is ranked twenty-eight in terms of the average cost of university education.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> In the past year, scholar debt in Macon has risen by more than seven percent (7.1%), which is why the county is now in the top thirty counties ranked by average student debt.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">These increasing rates result from the <\/span><b>constant increase in tuition fees in the state of Georgia in recent years.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Between 2015 and 2017, the average rate of tuition fees in Macon county rose by more than two percent (2.2%). This significant increase has resulted in students taking more massive amounts in student loans. Unfortunately,<\/span><b> many university graduates find themselves in an unbearable situation after they finish school,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> as their debt mounts up. Consequently, fresh graduates have to start work to repay their student debt immediately.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Many students have been voicing their concern regarding the magnitude of student debt they have to repay after graduation; however, the government is not taking this as a factor.<\/span><b> In fact, in Middle Georgia college tuitions rise as well.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Just recently, the University System of Georgia approved a further increase in the cost of getting a diploma for 2019 by close to three percent (2.5%).<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Macon is not the only place where students struggle<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><b>There has been a worrying tendency as the price students have to pay for education is increasing all over the United States.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Many students find it challenging to repay their loans and plunge into bad debt.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Some universities are looking into <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/160-million-endowment-expands-free-tuition-program-at-university-of-texas-austin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ways<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to start offering free education to children whose families cannot afford to pay the high tuitions.
