The attack occurred back in November of last year, and in March 2019 the publishing house was informed by the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fbi.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">FBI<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> that their system had been compromised.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To compensate users for the stolen data, <\/span><b>Person has decided to offer all affected users access to credit monitoring services for free.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Currently, the exact number of individuals whose data was uncovered has not been announced, as some of the affected accounts contain thousands of students.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">However, what is more concerning, is that <\/span><b>cyberattacks like this one are becoming a daily occurrence in the educational sector.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cyberattacks on academic systems<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Just yesterday, the school year for the whole Houston County district in Alabama was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/malware-attack-classes-in-alabama\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">postponed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, because of a malware attack, which cannot be resolved.
