{"id":18774,"date":"2019-07-25T13:42:33","date_gmt":"2019-07-25T13:42:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/?p=18774"},"modified":"2019-07-25T13:42:33","modified_gmt":"2019-07-25T13:42:33","slug":"moldova-government-dual-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.englishforward.com\/news\/moldova-government-dual-education\/","title":{"rendered":"Moldova: More than 1000 students will benefit from dual education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Higher education in Moldova is progressively betting on vocational training,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and the government has recently confirmed that more than one thousand (1300) students will be admitted in dual programs during the next school year.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to a recent announcement by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/chamber.md\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CCI<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">), Sergiu Harea, the <\/span><b>students will be able to join dual programs which place a focus on vocational training.\u00a0<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A large number of open positions was announced, as <\/span><b>more than ninety (95) companies have declared interest in hiring students to help them with their vocational education.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Dual program enrolment starts in September this year, and students from both high schools and universities can take part.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Vocational education in Moldova and around the world<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><b>Professional training in Moldova has been in steady development over the past few years. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to government statistics, in 2014, there was only one company taking an active part in the dual training program. In contrast,<\/span><b> for the upcoming school year, thirty times more companies have announced available positions for vocational training.\u00a0<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Many countries around the world are beginning to recognize the importance of vocational education, as whole industries suffer from a lack of skilled workers.
