According to the Governor, this school is one of the most important educational institutions in the area as it is one of the few places where children with special learning need can get an education.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Unfortunately, <\/span><b>the educational system in Nigeria is not flourishing, and according to reports, there are schools where there is no electricity,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and students cannot read during darker hours. In order to battle this tendency, and to show support for learners with special educational needs, Governor AbdulRazaq is scheduling meetings all over the state.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The state of special education around the world<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There is an encouraging trend going around the world, and <\/span><b>special education gets more recognition.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Countries like the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/inclusive-education-bill-pia-cayetano\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Philippines<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/aces-program-reaches-staten-island\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">United States<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> have recently introduced upgraded special education policies, in order to boost the support for students with such learning needs.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<b>Governor AbdulRazaq\u2019s decision to turn the focus towards special education is commendable,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> as the development of such social initiatives speaks for the overall development of the country as well.
