Some families have also reported that they are behind on paying their rent and utility bill because they had to secure uniforms for the next school year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Whiterock Children&#8217;s Centre<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Whiterock\u2019s initiative is very noble, as the center is trying to provide a cheaper opportunity for parents to buy uniforms for their children. <\/span><b>The Belfast center has been working on gathering donations and used uniforms<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> so that parents who cannot buy their children new school-wear can choose this cheaper version.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishnews.com\/business\/2018\/07\/30\/news\/more-families-struggle-with-school-uniform-costs-says-survey-1393397\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">recent<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> figures, <\/span><b>Irish families are spending about eight hundred pounds (GBP 754) for school clothing and supplies for primary school students,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and a whopping one thousand and two hundred (GBP 1,160) for secondary school students every year. Such expenses are impossible for some families, and they have rightfully asked the government for help.<\/span><br \/>\n<b>Whiterock\u2019s decision to try and provide an alternative for parents is genuinely commendable<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> as costs mount up, especially if one family has more than one student to support.
