This decision has caused <\/span><b>faculty members across the country to protest, as there is now a crisis in the educational system in Swaziland.\u00a0<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The government is also struggling to give out funds allocated for education. Thus schools are suffering, and<\/span><b> many of the teachers have not been receiving their salaries for a while. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This situation is very worrying, and the educational system in Swaziland is on the brink of collapsing.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On 18 June, The Swaziland National Teachers Association (<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.snat.org.sz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">SNAT<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">) organized a demonstration in protest of the government\u2019s recent decisions. According to teachers,<\/span><b> there have been no new hires across the industry, and the vacant positions in the educational system are piling up. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Unfortunately, teachers who have not yet left their jobs are burdened with more students than they can handle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Swaziland student-teacher ratio<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The student-teacher ratio of every country is an important indicator as to the well being of its educational system. If Swaziland does not take urgent measures to address the current crisis, <\/span><b>the student-teacher ratio in the country will become unbearable for faculty members.<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to recent research, one of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/low-student-teacher-ratio-india\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">worst<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> student-teacher ratios is currently in the Indian educational system, where there is one teacher available for twenty-four students.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Because of the severe lack of staff, some schools are forced to let go of non-teaching personnel as well.
