However, if a willing local investor steps in, both sides could benefit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Closing down of schools<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><b>There is a worrying tendency in the number of schools in the United Kingdom<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for the past several school years. According to the British Educational Suppliers Association, t<\/span><b>he number of working schools in the country has been progressively <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.besa.org.uk\/key-uk-education-statistics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>dropping<\/b><\/a><b>.\u00a0<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The association\u2019s research shows that during the 2001-2002 school year, there were more than thirty-four thousand (34,715) schools in the UK. However, there has not been a school year ever since, when the number of schools did not drop. The result is that in 2017, <\/span><b>there were more than a thousand fewer schools in the country, about thirty-two thousand (32,133).<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">One reason for this trend is the lack of funding for the educational system in the UK. Recently, an official from the Department for Education raised the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/northern-ireland-funding-for-education\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">alarm<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> that Northern Ireland is facing problems with finding funding for its educational system.
