{"id":18276,"date":"2019-07-07T21:44:11","date_gmt":"2019-07-07T21:44:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/?p=18276"},"modified":"2019-07-07T21:44:11","modified_gmt":"2019-07-07T21:44:11","slug":"ofsted-sports-major-part-of-curriculum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.englishforward.com\/news\/ofsted-sports-major-part-of-curriculum\/","title":{"rendered":"Ofsted: Sports classes need to be an essential part of the school curriculum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Chief Inspector for the Office for Standards in Education, Children&#8217;s Services and Skills (Ofsted), Amanda Spielman, has expressed <strong>concerns that sports and physical education classes are being stripped from school curriculums around Britain.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In a recent interview, Ms. Spielman said that the government and school principles around the country should be aware that <strong>physical activity is essential for the development of young minds.<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Not only that, but an effective physical education curriculum is also a vital part for the sports successes of the country as well.
