{"id":18077,"date":"2019-07-01T14:55:04","date_gmt":"2019-07-01T14:55:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.englishforums.com\/news\/?p=18077"},"modified":"2019-07-01T14:55:04","modified_gmt":"2019-07-01T14:55:04","slug":"osce-organizes-an-expert-school-to-boost-multilingual-education-in-central-asia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.englishforward.com\/news\/osce-organizes-an-expert-school-to-boost-multilingual-education-in-central-asia\/","title":{"rendered":"OSCE organizes an Expert School to boost multilingual education in Central Asia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), and particularly Lamberto Zannier, High Commissioner on National Minorities, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.osce.org\/hcnm\/424454\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">announced<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> the launch of<\/span><b> The Regional Expert School on Multilingual and Multicultural Education for Integration and Sustainable Development, on 1 July 2019. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This initiative aims to create useful tools for the development of multilingual education in Central Asia.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Expert School is a group of teachers, researches and industry leaders from around the world (Estonia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Moldova, and Tajikistan), whose focus is primarily set on multilingual education. The Expert School sessions will take place this week &#8211; between the 1st and 5th of July 2019. <\/span><b>This initiative is a joint project between the OSCE, the Kyrgyz Republic Ministry of Education, and UNICEF Kyrgyzstan.<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The main goal of the expert group is to produce a variety of teaching manuals, methodology breakdowns, and support materials for teachers in Central Asia, who are working in the sphere of multilingual education. To provide accurate and useful teacher\u2019s guides, <\/span><b>the Expert School will go through a detailed analysis of the current state of education in the region, focusing on language courses.<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The OSCE expects the Expert School to work on bettering all spheres of multilingual education, so towards the end of the sessions, the groups should have come up with:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">instruction guides for facilitating a working relationship between different communities<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">a plan for launching a multi-lingual education program in pre-schools<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">a comprehensive online course on Content and Language Integrated Learning.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Expert School sessions are part of the OSCE\u2019s continued efforts to improve multilingual education in Central Asia ever since 2012 when the Central Asia Education Programme commenced.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), and particularly Lamberto Zannier, High Commissioner on National Minorities, announced the launch of The Regional Expert School on Multilingual and Multicultural Education for Integration and Sustainable Development, on 1 July 2019.
